PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide probiotic compositions suitable for reducing the incidence and duration of human illness, in particular, methods and compositions suitable for preventing disease in young children, especially, respiratory disease.SOLUTION: Provided are compositions containing Lactobacillus acidophilus (L.acidophilus) and Bifidobacterium lactis (B.lactis) Bi-07. Also provided are compositions to be orally administered containing them. The symptoms of respiratory disease include fever, coughing, runny nose, headache, muscle ache, sore throat, stuffy nose, malaise, diarrhea, nausea, and the like. |
