PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of burrs in a normal machining proces after the casting, when manufacturing a cylinder block with a sleeve cast therein.SOLUTION: When setting a sleeve S in a pin 2p of an upper mold 2 and performing mold clamping with a lower mold 3, the lower mold 3 is provided with an approach/abutment part 3k coming into approach or abutment with a portion of an inside end surface of the sleeve S, and also a wide part 3z is provided at the part opposite to an outside end surface of the sleeve S. When performing chamfering machining (two-dot chain line) of an opening of the sleeve S after cutting machining (one-dot chain line) of an inner circumferential surface of a casted article that is cast with this metal mold 1, a portion molded at the boundary between the approach/abutment part 3k and the wide part 3z is configured to be included. |
