PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable coating stripping tool for cutting into a cable coating in the linear direction and in the circumferential direction at the same time.SOLUTION: A cutting blade extends from the side of the upper end portion of a basal body, whose bottom is a grip portion, and the blade portion lying substantially from the middle of the extended cutting blade to the basal body and the tip portion of the blade are exposed to be covered. The exposed blade portion on the side of the basal body and the exposed tip portion of the blade are respectively covered by a horizontal cutting blade guard and a vertical cutting blade guard in a releasable manner. An engaging claw is provided so as to face the tip portion of the blade, and the engaging claw is engaged with the cable coating by releasing the vertical cutting blade guard to allow the tip portion of the blade to cut into the coating, thereby cutting into the coating in a vertical direction. The horizontal cutting blade guard and the blade portion on the side of the basal body clip the cable by releasing the guard, and allow the cable to rotate, thereby cutting into the coating in the circumferential direction. |
