PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect an image area of a photographed printing surface to detect streaks present on the edge of the image area without erroneously determining an edge on the end of the image area as the streaks of the printing surface.SOLUTION: A print inspection device includes: imaging means for photographing a printing surface of a printed medium; extraction means for extracting a specific image area from the image of the printing surface photographed by the imaging means; detection means for detecting a linear component only in the specific image area extracted by the extraction means; and determination means for determining the presence of streak-like printing failure on the printing surface by analyzing the linear component detected by the detection means. |
