Provided in the present invention are a method, radio network controller (RNC), base station, user equipment (UE), and system for indicating the state of a pilot frequency. The method comprises: the RNC acquires state information of a scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency, where the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency indicates an activated state or deactivated state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency (S701); the RNC transmits to the UE a 4-transmission MIMO mode configuration signaling, where the configuration signaling carries the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency, thus allowing the UE, when configured into a 4-transmission MIMO mode, to acquire the state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency on the basis of the state information of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency (S702). By applying the method, RNC, base station, UE, and system of embodiments of the present invention for indicating the state of the pilot frequency, physical layer signaling overhead is reduced, and the latency is reduced for the UE to acquire the state of the scheduled non-precoded pilot frequency in the 4-transmission MIMO mode. |
