<p>Provided are a method for dyeing polyarylate fibers and dyed polyarylate fibers. For the polyarylate fiber dyeing method the polyarylate fibers are dyed to the useful color depths that are required by the development of novel uses for polyarylate fibers, uneven dyeing does not occur in the polyarylate fibers after dyeing, and the dye fastness, particularly fastness to light, of the dyed product is favorable. The method: comprises a dye application process for applying a vat dye or sulfur dye to the polyarylate fibers, a solvent-processing process for processing the polyarylate fibers with a processing solution containing a polar solvent, and a heat treatment processing for heat-treating the polyarylate fibers after the solvent-processing process as necessary; and is provided with one or more dyeing operations obtained from a combination of each of said processes.</p> |
