PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater configured to prevent temperature increase in a non-paper-passing part when a sheet smaller than a corresponding maximum size is used for printing by an image forming device, and to provide an image heating device.SOLUTION: A heater is formed by interposing a heat-generating resistor 302 having positive resistance temperature characteristics between first and second conductors 301, 303 arranged along a longitudinal direction of a substrate. Heat-generating blocks formed of a set of the first conductor, the second conductor and the heat-generating resistor are disposed in the longitudinal direction. At least one of the heat-generating blocks is configured to be power-controlled independently from the other heat-generating blocks. |
