PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon for a balloon catheter suitably used in percutaneous transluminal angioplasty such as PTCA and PTS, which can be manufactured to have excellent folding ability and passing performance of a balloon in a simple method.SOLUTION: An expandable and contractile balloon 12 for a balloon catheter has a stiff part 14 having a high rigidity and a soft part 15 having a low rigidity on the circumferential part in a section vertical to the longitudinal direction. The stiff part and the soft part are formed of the same material, and when being contracted, the soft part is folded as a blade part. |
