An electric energy regulator comprises a fixed contact 5 mounted on an insulating base 1 and a bimetallic strip 7, one end of which carries a contact 6 and the other end of which 8 is cranked and secured to a resilient member 9. The resilient member is mounted at one of its ends on the base and is further supported intermediate its ends by a transverse member 11 also secured to the base whereby when a screw 12 which engages the member 9 is adjusted the pressure between the contacts 5 and 6 is altered. A magnet 13 is mounted adjacent the contact 5 and an armature 14 on the bimetallic strip to provide a snap-action.
