<p>A thermoelectric generator (17) for mounting on an internal combustion engine (1), includes a selecting device (50, 51, 52), an exhaust pipe (11), a thermoelectric conversion module (28), a regulating valve (40) and a controller (42). The selecting device is configured to select a first operation mode and a second operation mode. The exhaust pipe (11) includes a first exhaust passage (25) and a second exhaust passage (26). The regulating valve (40) configured to adjust a flow rate of the exhaust gas. The controller (42) is configured to adjust an opening degree of the regulating valve such that the flow rate of the exhaust gas flowing through the second exhaust passage (23) reduces as compared to that in the first operation mode, on the condition that the second operation mode is selected by the selecting device after completion of warm-up of the internal combustion engine.</p> |
