Provided in the present invention is a clamping device which can stably grasp an object at high grasping force with a simple structure and manipulation by forming a finger thereof for grasping the object in a tongs shape in order to facilitate the grasping and separation of the object and by forming a back end unit of the finger and an interval regulating unit inserted into the back end unit of the finger in a wedge shape. In addition, a transfer loader for a machine tool applying the clamping device can facilitate the supply or separation of a material and a workpiece in order to increase work efficiency by grasping the material transferred from a material transfer device to a chuck of a machine tool and by forming a transfer loader having a clamping device in the machine tool in order to separate the processed workpiece from the chuck of the machine tool and to transfer the workpiece to the material transfer device, and can reduce a work space by integrating a horizontal moving member and a vertical moving member. The clamping device comprises: a finger where a pair of finger ends are combined using a pin in order to form a tongs shape; an interval regulating unit which is inserted into the open back end unit of the finger; and an actuator which moves back and forth the interval regulating unit inserted into the open back end unit of the finger. An object is grasped as the open fore-end unit of the finger narrows according to the moving forward of the interval regulating unit by the actuator. Meanwhile, the object is separated from the finger as the open fore-end unit of the finger widens according to the moving backward of the interval regulating unit.
