COMBINED ACTIVE AND PASSIVE REACTOR CORE WATER INJECTION AND HEAT REMOVAL APPARATUS

Disclosed is a combined active and passive reactor core water injection and heat removal apparatus, comprising a safety injection pipeline respectively connected with a refuelling water tank and cold and hot pipe sections of a primary circuit, with a safety injection pump provided on the safety injection pipeline, the safety injection pump comprising two mutually independent medium-pressure safety injection pumps and two mutually independent low-pressure safety injection pumps. The refuelling water tank is provided in an embedded position below a reactor core inside a containment vessel, and the safety injection pump is provided outside the containment vessel. A passive safety injection tank and a reactor core supplementary water tank are also provided above the reactor in the containment vessel. The safety injection tank is connected to the cold pipe section of the primary circuit by means of a duct provided with a control valve. The reactor core supplementary water tank is connected between the hot pipe section and cold pipe section of the primary circuit by means of a duct provided with a control valve. The reactor core water injection and heat removal apparatus combines active and passive advantages, has features such as high redundancy, variety and reliability, and improves the safety of a nuclear power plant.
