<p>Provided is a silver ink composition suitable for application to print methods that use high-viscosity inks such as flexographic printing and screen printing. This silver ink composition is obtained by supplying carbon dioxide to a mixture obtained by blending a silver carboxylate having a group represented by the formula "-COOAg" and a C2-25 amine compound and/or ammonium salt. The invention is characterized in that an acetylene alcohol represented by general formula (2) is not blended, and the viscosity at 20°C is 0.5 Pa·s or higher, or is characterized in that the acetylene alcohol is blended, the blended amount being greater than 0 moles and less than 0.1 moles per a blended amount of 1 mole of the silver carboxylate, and the viscosity at 20°C is 0.2 Pa·s or higher.
