PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating ammonia using a zeolite membrane composite having excellent performance of separating ammonia from a gas mixture composed of ammonia and a plurality of components containing hydrogen and/or nitrogen to the permeation side with high permeability.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for separating ammonia from a gas mixture composed of ammonia and a plurality of components containing hydrogen and/or nitrogen using a zeolite membrane, wherein the zeolite membrane is formed on a porous support. The zeolite has an oxygen 8-membered ring and preferably is a CHA type aluminosilicate.
