PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document feeder capable of inhibiting an occurrence of a jam due to sound from being erroneously determined by sound generated from a device.SOLUTION: A document feeder 100 has a sound signal output part 141 with a sound collection part 113 provided near a document conveyance path to output a sound signal, a sound jam determination part 153 for determining whether a jam occurs on the basis the sound signal outputted during document conveyance, a control part 151 for executing abnormality processing in the case that the sound jam determination part determines that the jam occurs, and an abnormal sound determination part 157 for determining whether abnormal sound occurs on the basis of a sound signal outputted before the document conveyance operation. |
