In order to provide a stereo camera device capable of retaining performance and reliability while being made thin, this stereo camera device has: a first image pickup component; a first communication connection unit for outputting a first image that is captured by the first image pickup component; a first image pickup substrate on which the first image pickup component and the first communication connection unit are installed; a second image pickup component; a second communication connection unit for outputting a second image that is captured by the second image pickup component; a second image pickup substrate on which the second image pickup component and the second communication connection unit are installed; and a case in which the first image pickup substrate is positioned at one end part, and the second image pickup substrate is positioned at the other end part. In the first image pickup substrate, the first image pickup component and the first communication connection unit are arranged side by side in the length direction of the case, and in the second image pickup substrate, the second image pickup component and the second communication connection unit are arranged side by side in the length direction of the case. The first image pickup substrate and the second image pickup substrate are arranged in a horizontally symmetrical manner. |
