<p>In order to obtain color reproduction results having a greater color reproduction range and excellent gradation properties, in color conversion having limited ink amounts, a color processing method is provided that obtains a first output value having applied thereto a limit to which upper limits for C, M, Y, and K total ink amounts are provided relative to an input value, and obtains the ink amount (second output value) for each color on the basis of a first information for correcting the first output value and the non-linear relationship between the ink amount and the gradation, for each color. Said method has: a step (S2) in which a second value is obtained on the basis of a sample input value (first value) and the first information; a step (S3) in which a third value is obtained on the basis of the second value and limit information; a step (S4) in which a fourth value corresponding to the first output value is obtained on the basis of the third value and a second information having the I/O characteristics of the first information inverted; a step (S6) in which a multi-dimensional table indicating the correspondence between the first value and the fourth value is created; and a step in which the first output value is obtained on the basis of the input value and the multi-dimensional table.</p> |
