PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generation catalyst which has a high low-temperature activity even in a relatively small amount of a supported catalyst and can efficiently produce hydrogen at a low temperature, a method for producing the hydrogen generation catalyst, and a system for enhancing energy efficiency of various devices by utilizing hydrogen generated by the hydrogen generation catalyst.SOLUTION: There is provided a hydrogen generation catalyst which has the peak of in a pore distribution in the range of 5 to 10 nm and contains aluminum, a mesoporous metal oxide including a first catalyst component such as magnesium, lanthanum, barium, calcium and cerium and a second catalyst component such as platinum, rhodium, palladium, nickel and cobalt, which is supported on the mesoporous metal oxide. There is provided a system using the hydrogen generation catalyst, where a reformed gas containing hydrogen is generated by reacting at least a part of an exhaust gas containing heat and moisture with a fuel in the presence of the hydrogen generation catalyst. |
