PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that is capable of previously reducing electromotive force of a fuel cell prior to a collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 100 includes: a fuel cell 10 that is mounted on a vehicle, that has gas passages 12 and 13, and that generates electricity by reactant gas being supplied to the gas passages 12 and 13; collision prediction means 40 and 50 that detect the possibility of a collision of the vehicle; scavenging means 30 that scavenges the gas passages 12 and 13 in the fuel cell 10; and control means 40 that, when the collision prediction means 40 and 50 predict that there is a high possibility of a collision, allows the scavenging means 30 to scavenge the gas passages 12 and 13 in the fuel cell 10 so as to reduce electromotive force of the fuel cell 10. |
