The embodiment of the invention relates to a method and apparatus for Forward Error Correction (FEC) coding based on Time-Division Duplex (TDD). The method includes: receiving at least one Optical Data Unit (ODU) TDD Service signal; without demultiplexing ODU TDD service signal, the Optical Transfer Unit (OTU) TDD service signal is obtained by performing 4-byte parallel encoding on each code block in every service signal based on input multiplexing relationship; outputting OTU TDD service signal. The embodiment of the invention improves the encoding efficiency and system transforming efficiency, and enhances the network data transformation processing capacity. Specific for multi-service multiplexing data processing, there is no need to perform data collection before encoding and output smoothing after encoding, and encoding can be performed directly based on input service multiplexing property. And that, as each input service sharing the same encoding circuit, both the encoding circuit resource consumption and power consumption are reduced obviously comparing with the method of using separate encoder for different service. |
