[Problem] To provide an infusion pump that can safely pump a drug to a patient by being able to detect the forward rotation and reverse rotation of the rotor of a drive motor. [Solution] The infusion pump (1) has: a drive motor (61); a pumping drive unit (60) that, by means of the forward rotation of the rotor of the drive motor (61), sends a drug within an infusion tube (200) by pressing the infusion tube; a rotation direction detection device (700) for generating detection information (780) of the direction of rotation for judging whether the rotor of the drive motor (61) is in a forward rotation or a reverse rotation; and a control unit (100) that, from the detection information (780) of the direction of rotation obtained from the rotation direction detection device (700), determines whether the rotor (161A) of the drive motor (61) is in the forward rotation or reverse rotation. |
