Provided is a method for manufacturing an injection needle capable of mass production at a low manufacturing cost and capable of manufacturing a thin needle by which pain is not felt. A yarn (20) composed of a carbon fiber is movably stretched in a metal powder (21) between a pair of electrodes (14). The yarn is energized and heated from the electrodes in a vacuum or an inert gas atmosphere. The yarn is moved at a constant speed while the surrounding metal powder (21) is heated to the melting point thereof or higher, and is melted, fused, and cooled to form a solid-phase metal layer. The yarn to which the metal layer has adhered is cut by a cutting machine (18) to form individual pieces (23) having a predetermined length. The individual pieces are heated in an oxidizing atmosphere, and the yarn is vaporized and removed. The yarn is preferably stretched inside a rotating drum (11) and the metal powder fused to the yarn while the drum is rotated.
|
