The motor car (1) has separate hydraulic brake circuits operated by a common brake booster (6) and provided with a valve assembly. Several valves are controlled by the control device for modulating the brake pressure in brake circuit. The third and fourth brake circuits are provided parallel to the first and second brake circuits. The valve assembly with control device is provided in third and fourth brake circuits. The third and fourth brake circuits are switched by a valve unit (7) and respective valve assembly when malfunction of first and second brake circuits is detected.
