A transducer is caused a plurality of times to perform the transmission of an ultrasonic beam in a manner so as to form a predetermined transmission focal point; the analog reception signal output by the transducer is subjected to A/D conversion, resulting in first element data; second element data corresponding to a unit of first element data from a plurality of the first element data is generated; and using the second element data, the sonic velocity of the inspection subject is determined.</p> |
