<p>A stereoscopic image display device (100) and a method for forming same. The stereoscopic image display device (100) comprises a display panel (140), a quarter-wavelength retardation film (170) and a glass substrate (163). The display panel (140) comprises a plurality of left-eye pixel-row units (L), a plurality of right-eye pixel-row units (R) and a colour filter (142). The colour filter (142) comprises a plurality of filter units (142a) and black array layers (142b) located between any two adjacent filter units (142a). The quarter-wavelength retardation film (170) comprises a plurality of first retardation sheets (171) and a plurality of second retardation sheets (172). The glass substrate (163) comprises a plurality of light-impermeable areas (165), each of the light-impermeable areas (165) being adhered onto the adjacent first retardation sheet (171) and second retardation sheet (172) so as to prevent the light rays emitted from the right-eye pixel-row units (R) from entering the second retardation sheets (172), or prevent the light rays emitted from the left-eye pixel-row units (L) from entering the first retardation sheets (171). When viewing the display device (100) at a comparatively large visual angle, the light rays corresponding to right-eye or left-eye signals may be prevented by the light-impermeable areas (165), so that the problem of crosstalk can be reduced.</p> |
