PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer excellent in stereoregularity, transparency and heat resistance, and a film excellent in transparency, heat resistance, releasability and suitable as a release film, which is obtained from the 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer.SOLUTION: The 4-methyl-1-pentene copolymer includes a structural unit derived from 4-methyl-1-pentene by 80 to 99.9 mass% and a structural unit derived from at least one α-olefin having 12 to 20 carbon atoms by 0.1 to 20 mass%, in which a ratio (a/b) of the content amass% of structural units derived from the α-olefin having 12 to 20 carbon atoms in a n-decane soluble component to the content bmass% of structural units derived from the α-olefin having 12 to 20 carbon atoms in the copolymer ranges from 3.0 to 6.0. A film is produced from the 4-methyl-1-pentene polymer. |
