This mobile communication system has: a user terminal that performs D2D communication, which is direct inter-terminal communication; and a base station that performs cellular communication with the user terminal. The D2D communication is performed using a portion of the uplink wireless resources for cellular communication. The base station transmits to the user terminal a timing advice value used for adjusting the uplink transmission timing of cellular communication. The timing advice value is applied in common to the adjustment of the uplink transmission timing, and the adjustment of the D2D communication transmission timing. |
