A control device for performing an engagement control for locking a locking mechanism by supplying ON-pressure to an engagement-side oil chamber when a drive mode is selected, then reducing the oil pressure in the engagement-side oil chamber, and when a non-drive mode is selected, performing a release control by unlocking the locking mechanism by supplying OFF-pressure to a release-side oil chamber, then reducing the oil pressure in the release-side oil chamber, wherein a stoppage of the operation of a drive-power source is allowed when OFF-pressure is supplied to the release-side oil chamber and then the locking mechanism is unlocked when stoppage of the operation of the drive-power source is reported.
