The present invention provides a kimchi container comprising: a main body having an opened top in which a number of folds are formed on the side; a lid opening and closing by combining with the upper side of the main body; and a press plate which is located on the lower part of the lid and which has a number of drain holes. One or more pushers are formed on the upper surface of the press plate, and fixing grooves corresponding the pushers are formed on the lower surface of the lid, and the upper surface of the pushers is inserted in the fixing grooves and fixated. If a space is formed while shrinking the contents in the kimchi container using a stretch structure by the folds on the main body and a press structure by the press plate; a user can press the container and reduce the space and then store the container in the refrigerator or elsewhere, thereby maximizing the utilization of space. Also, the present invention is very useful in extending the storage period for kimchi and eating the kimchi fresh for a long time by minimizing contact with the kimchi and air and drowning the kimchi in kimchi liquid. |
