PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for arthrodetic procedures.SOLUTION: Due to difficulty in autogenous bone graft, to provide an alternative bone formation and regeneration system is preferred. To provide a method using an alternative bone formation and regeneration system in arthrodetic procedures including bone fracture treatment and foot and ankle joint fixing is preferred. A composition and a method for accelerating bone union of a joint are provided. A composition and a method for enhancing bone union in arthrodetic procedures are provided. In an embodiment, the method for performing arthrodetic procedures includes providing a composition including PDGF arranged in a biocompatible matrix and applying the composition to a desired bone union region of a joint.
