An air conditioner is configured so as to reduce airflow noise by steadying a swirl airflow. Either a stabilizer (32) and/or a rear guider (20), the stabilizer (32) and the rear guider (20) being disposed on both sides of the outer periphery of a cross-flow fan (10) and forming an air flow passage, has formed at the front end thereof: first stepped sections (28a-28c) having a height decreasing toward the axial center (M) of the fan (10); and second stepped sections (28d, 28e) having a height increasing toward the axial center (M) of the fan (10), the first stepped sections (28a-28c) and the second stepped sections (28d, 28e) being arranged side by side in the axial direction. At least one of the first stepped sections (28a-28c) is configured such that, in an axial range thereof having a predetermined length, the amount of change in the height of the at least one of the first stepped sections (28a-28c) has a first predetermined value less than the value of the amount of change in the height of the second stepped sections (28d, 28e). |
