The invention relates to an energy store, comprising at least one stack (2), each stack having at least one storage cell (4), which in turn comprises an air electrode (6) and a storage electrode (10). The storage electrode (10) is adjacent to channels (12), which contain a storage medium (9) and water vapor. The invention is characterized in that the channels (12) have a larger cross-sectional area (13) than the cross-section (11) of the storage medium (9), which condition causes unhindered spreading of a reaction gas in the area between the storage electrode and the storage medium.
