The device has a high-speed tool including movable tool parts (3), which are directly driven on machine. The movable tool parts are initially blocked by a knee lever (4) during an operating movement of the machine such that forces are built up. An energy storage (2) i.e. spring, causes spontaneous release of the knee lever from an extended position, and bringing of the movable tool parts in short paths in high speeds. The knee lever is unlocked by mechanical forced movements e.g. cam controlled movements. The lever is actuated by a drive e.g. servo drive. An independent claim is also included for a high-speed process.
