Embodiments of the invention provide an indicating message sending method, an indicating message receiving method, device and a system. The indicating message sending method comprises: downstream equipment determines forthcoming outage; and the downstream equipment sends an outage indicating message to upstream equipment before outage, wherein the outage indicating message includes equipment description information of the downstream equipment, so that the upstream equipment learns that the downstream equipment corresponding to the equipment description information is in outage. The indicating message sending method, the indicating message receiving method, the device and the system provided in the embodiments of the invention can achieve that the upstream equipment is capable of learning the equipment description information of the downstream equipment in outage according to the indicating message through sending the outage indicating message including the equipment description information to the upstream equipment, so that network maintenance is facilitated while efficiency is improved. |
