PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detector able to suppress thermal stress on a magnetism collection holder, and to provide a steering device that has the same.SOLUTION: A magnetism collection unit 50 for a torque detector comprises: a magnetism collection holder 70 formed by molding resin into an annular shape, and surrounding a magnetic yoke; a first magnetism collection ring 51 attached to the inner periphery 70X of the magnetism collection holder 70 and configured to collect the magnetic flux of the magnetic yoke; and a magnetic shield 60 formed by bending a metal plate and attached to the outer periphery 70Y of the magnetism collection holder 70. In the magnetism collection unit 50, a corner portion 61B of the first shield end 61 of the magnetic shield 60 is not in contact with the magnetism collection holder 70. |
