PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having two or more differential pairs of contacts which has an improved transmission characteristic.SOLUTION: The connector includes USB 3.0 contacts 20 constituting two differential pairs 21. Each USB 3.0 contact 20 has: a first region 22 having a portion for contact with a mating connector and kept press-fitted in a housing; a second region 32 fixedly connected to a board; and a coupling portion 34 coupling the first region 22 and the second region 32. The first regions 22 of the USB 3.0 contacts 20 are lined in a row while the second regions 32 of the USB 3.0 contacts 20 are lined in two rows. The second regions 32 of the two USB 3.0 contacts 20 constituting each of the differential pairs 21 belong to the different rows from each other. The second regions 32 and the coupling portions 34 have a smaller width than the first regions 22 in a width direction (Y direction).
