A composition comprises calcium hydroxide particles, and dispersion medium which disperses calcium hydroxide particles. The dispersion medium is alcohol. The surface is surface of metal, metal alloy, steel, plastic, glass, fabric and fibers. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for forming calcium hydroxide layers on surface; and (2) usage of composition.
