<p>The invention relates to a joist comprising an upper and a lower timber chord in parallel and spaced apart relation to one another, the upper and lower chords being linked together and maintained in spaced apart relation by one or more metal web members, the, or each, metal web member comprises a first and a second nail plate, linked together and spaced apart from one another by an elongate bracing member, each nail plate comprising integral nails whereby the nail plates are each securable to the side surfaces of one of the upper and lower timber chords thereby securing the metal web member to the timber chords, wherein at least one of said first and second nail plates is further secured to the upper and lower timber chords by at least one anchorage enhancer plate.</p> |
