<p>A heald has tapered transition regions (19, 20) between the main body (21) and the mounting hook region (7, 8). This region is perforated by holes with a total area equal to one eight of the total area. The holes are circular, slit- or tear-shaped and are spaced at most by a distance equal to their length. The taper radius (R) is less than or equal to 60 mm. - An Independent claims are also included for the following: - (1) A heald in which the end section (13, 14) is at most 3 mm long and preferably more than 2 mm long; - (2) A heald in which the main body (21) is largely less than 1.6 mm wide; - (3) A heald with an eyelet region (29) wider than the body (21) and at most five times the length of the eyelet (33);A heald with a transition region (34) between the eyelet region (29) and the body (21), and preferably no longer than 1.5 times the length of the of the eyelet region (29).</p> |
