<p>The straightener has multiple lower straightening rolls mounted in a lower roll frame (4). Multiple upper straightening rolls are mounted in an upper roll frame (6). Stay bolts (8) connect the upper and lower roll frames at a preselectable spacing, and are assigned in adjusting apparatuses (13) for changing effective length of the stay bolts, where the effective length defines the preselectable spacing. The adjusting apparatuses comprise a mechanically movable sliding wedge which changes the effective length of the bolts for compensating changes in the effective length during operation.</p> |
