A Blu-ray disc playback device is disclosed. The device comprises: a mounting unit in which a Blu-ray disc is mounted; a storage unit in which a middleware is stored; and a control unit for controlling a processing operation for the Blu-ray disc by executing the middleware when the Blu-ray disc is mounted in the mounting unit. The control unit performs an application activation task and a processing operation for resources in parallel by running the middleware when the Blu-ray disc is mounted. Thus, disc loading time can be shortened, and resource processing for each playback device can be optimized.
