The invention relates to a plant container 10, which comprises a base (12) and a wall 14 upstanding from base about the periphery of the base, so as to define a region within the base and wall for containing a plant. The wall 14 comprises a side wall part 20 which extends from the top of the plant container to the bottom of the plant container and which lies at approximately 90 degrees to the base, whereas one or more other side wall part is/are inclined upwardly and outwardly with respect to the vertical.
