Disclosed are an engine start button device for a vehicle and a method for staring an engine using an engine start button device. According to the present invention, if an LF noise component close to a FOB key in a vehicle is not present, a SMK unit receives RF authentication information by responding to an LF authentication request signal. If the LF noise component is present, the SMK unit authorizes the FOB key by receiving the RF authentication information by responding to the LF authentication request signal. Therefore, the engine start button device for a vehicle and the method for staring an engine using an engine start button device can prevent a communication error caused by the LF noise component close to the FOB key and fundamentally improve the durability and stability of the device by further improving the success rate of communication with the engine start button device.
