PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic welding device capable of acquiring the clear image of a groove. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image detecting camera which is arranged above the groove and a lighting device which is provided in the vicinity of this image detecting camera. The lighting device is arranged so that the image of the groove is picked up into a dark color with the image detecting camera without making the reflected light of an irradiating light onto the groove incident to the image detecting camera and the image is picked up at high lightness with the image detecting camera by making the reflected light of the irradiating light onto flat surfaces incident to the image detecting camera.
