<p>The printing device has a printhead (46',46'') whose rotatable cylinder (42) transports the printing on mediums (40). The cylinder is provided with a gripping device for a front edge of the printing on mediums in rotation direction. A motor is adapted to rotate the cylinder. A contact structure (38) is adapted to exactly position the medium relative to printhead before printing. A peeling device (52) is adapted to peel the front edge of the medium after the start of printing. A pressure controller (48) is adapted to actuate the printhead as function of the transportation of medium.
