摘要 The invention describes a method and apparatus to expand a radius of the interaction in computer vision applications with the real world within the field of view of a display unit of a device. The radius of interaction is expanded using a gesture in front of an input sensory unit, such as a camera that signals the device to allow a user the capability of extending and interacting further into the real and augmented world with finer granularity. In one embodiment, the device electronically detects the gesture generated by the user's extremity as obtained by the camera coupled to the device. In response to detecting the gesture, the device changes the shape of a visual cue on the display unit coupled to the device, and updates the visual cue displayed on the display unit.
