<p>The present invention provides an electric charger 102 for charging a battery 110, particularly in an electric vehicle. The electric charger 102 includes an isolating unit through which an electric charge is routed to the battery 110. The isolating unit isolates the supply of electric charge to the battery 110 after detecting a drop in the electric charge, such as when an unauthorized person tampers with the connection by unplugging the cable 112 and using it to charge another battery. The charger may alert the owner in case of tampering.</p> |
