An alloy consists of .Ga.0.003 - 0.2% .Bi.0.02 - 2% .Pb.0.02 - 2% .Al.the remainder, the Bi/Pb ratio being 0.5 - 2. The alloy has a high oxidation potential and may be used for cathodic protection anodes, primary cell anodes, paint pigments, coatings, as an active ingredient in flares, as a reducing agent and in the preparation of aluminium alkyls. |
