The device (1) has a scraping and mixing member (12) mounted inside a parallelepiped cooking vessel (4) for scraping a bottom wall (6) of the vessel and/or mixing a food composition. A displacement unit of the member includes a carriage (16) mounted to move inside the vessel along a direction and another carriage cooperating with the former carriage by magnetic coupling. The latter carriage is mounted to move outside the tank along another direction. The carriages are placed on sides of a longitudinal side wall (8) of the vessel, and a driving unit drives the latter carriage. The scraping and mixing member is made of Teflon(RTM: PTFE). |
