<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large scale network monitoring method dynamically changing a monitoring configuration for logic lines, based on information independent of a physical network configuration, and performing state monitoring for all logic circuits. <P>SOLUTION: A method for monitoring a large scale network, the method has the steps of: dividing a plurality of network elements into groups; establishing one of the network elements as a representative; accessing to the representative network element by a network monitoring device; acquiring a logic line state with all network elements from the representative network element; determining whether abnormality and normality are intermingled, everything is abnormal, or everything is normal according to all information on the logic line state acquired; and repeating the above steps until the states of all logic lines of the network elements are determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
